ORIENTAL SHORTHAIR
The Oriental Shorthairs have slender physique, lithe and sinuous body shape, a long expressive tail and narrow
pointed head and slanted eyes. Actually, Oriental Shorthairs are Siamese cats but without colorpoint markings. The name Oriental Shorthairs encompasses all cats with the Siamese body shape that are not pointed.
ORIGIN: After the Siamese Cat Club of Britain ruled that it would only encourage the breeding of blue-eyed Siamese, other eye-colored Siamese were excluded from shows. Because there weren't any strict rules any more for Siamese without blue eyes, all kind of colors appeared. All these varieties were grouped under one name: Oriental Shorthairs.
