PETERBALD / PETERBALD SPHYNX / ORIENTAL HAIRLESS

 

The Peterbald cat is medium sized cat with slightly eloganted body. The body has fine but dinstinctive bone structure and sculpted muscles. Their skin, which appear as hairless, is soft, elastic and war. The skin is usually wrinkled, but going easily along the body. The cat's legs are long with firm, fine boning. The paws are oval with long agile toes. Peterbalds look very elegant and slim and have a distinctive head: narrow and long with a straight profile, almond-shaped eyes, and big set-apart ears. They look very similar to Oriental Shorthair cat going hairless. Their temper is sweet, and devotion to a family is always there. They are not cat for being left alone, and they like children. If you must leave them alone, get another cat so Peterbald have company.

 

ORIGIN: The Peterbald is a Russian breed of Sphynxs. The breeding was started in St. Petersburg , Russia , in 1994. As experimental crossbreed between Don Sphynxs (male Afinogen Myth) and Oriental (female World Champion Radma von Jagerhov) cats. The Peterbald inherited grace and fineness from Oriental cats which differs it from Canadian and Don Sphynxs. The first breeder of the Peterbald was Olga Mironova.
