TIFFANIE
The Tiffanie is a medium-sized cat with a fine and a silky coat, longer at the ruff and with a flowing plume-like tail. The general body type should be that of the Burmese, medium sized, muscular with a round chest and straight back. The head is a short wedge, with a distinct nose break in profile, while the medium sized ears continue the
lines of the face. The silky medium length coat does not tangle and has none of the potential grooming problems of their parent breed, the Chinchilla. The coat is of an easy care nature with only the very occasional need to groom it. The tail is long and elegantly plumed
ORIGIN: The breed appeared in 1981 as a result of an accidental mating between Chinchilla Persian and lilac Burmese, owned by Baroness Miranda von Kirchberg. The first litter were shorthaired Burmillas, but subsequent generations later revealed recessive gene for longhair and sepia points. Although Burmese were used in developing, Tiffanies are different breed.
Not to be mistaken with Tiffany.
